国際文化研究所

国際文化研究所は、アジア音楽を中心に世界諸民族の文化（主として伝統的音楽や芸能）を体系的に分析・研究するとともに、アジア・太平洋民族音楽等の研究者との長年の友好関係を通して、研究あるいはイべント等のネットワークを構築している。

とくに、藤井知昭の1964年アフガニスタン学術調査を皮切りに、文部省科学研究費によるアジア諸民族の民族音楽・芸能調査を27次30年近く行い、現地調査による録音、映像及び調査データを多大に蓄積し、その整理・分析・研究を主とした活動をしている。

さらに、現代における音楽データベースの構築、アジア諸地域を注視とした伝統的音楽・芸能の交流、招聘等のコーディネートの役割を担い、これらの情報・資料の紹介提供等を行っている。
International Cultural Institute intended to study the culture of Asian countries. (mainly traditional music and performance) .
Through many years of friendly relations with researchers in Asia-Pacific Ethnomusicology, the International Cultural Institute has built a network of research or event.

Tomoaki Fujii, Director of Institute, has accumulated a lot of Materials (sound recordings, video, photo, interview data). Began in Afghanistan in 1968, his research has continued for more than 30 years.

These studies funded by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI) of The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology(MEXT),
a total of 27 times.

The Institute has been mainly concerned with activities that organize, analyze and study it.In addition, Institute is, (1)building a database about music. (2)conducting cultural exchanges and the coordination of the invited of traditional music and performing arts in Asian countries. (3)has been providing information and materials about traditional music and performing arts.
